2K has just put out a trailer for their re releases of Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite. This trailer seems like a very hastily edited trailer with cheap fade in transitions and overall a very poor quality trailer. From what it seems like this was just pushed out the door without anyone looking at it. The video is uploaded in 720p with no post effects on the video itself other than the fade in transition during the video. No apparent AA anywhere during the video as shown from the jagged lines throughout multiple parts of the teaser.
Some shots of the video show very low resolution textures either not loaded in or just not scaled up.
The globe’s bump map, and texture resolution are very low compared to the others around it.
Able to see the writing on the ground at what seems to be either the original textures or lower quality than that.
This may be a sign of a poor port, or just the marketing department not checking their videos before publishing them. I hope that this isn’t the quality of the final port as many would have a better time playing it on a PC.
We will try to reach out to 2K and see if this was an oversight on their part or just poor editing.
