Lichthund has partnered with Critical Role on Rockbeasts, a rock-and-roll management RPG launching on PS5 in January 2027, with Matthew Mercer and Sam Riegel joining the cast.
Players manage a 1990s grunge band from garage gigs to bigger stages, handling resources, personalities, deals, and rhythm-based performances. Critical Role is involved both creatively and as a publishing partner. Liam O’Brien and Iggy Pop are also credited. The hand-drawn game includes original alternative rock tracks.
A Steam demo covering early episodes is available, with more content planned for Steam Next Fest. Wishlist the title now on the PlayStation Store ahead of the January window.
