On March 2014, the former founders of Criterion Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry announced the opening of their new studio, Three Fields Entertainment. Today, they just “announced” their second project. The first being an over the top multiplayer sports game. The second one being certain to make a lot of fans happy, a few tweets came out of the studio’s twitter about what we could expect from their 2 projects.
What sort of driving game you ask? A spiritual successor. Speed. Traffic. And Crashing. Lots and lots of crashing. #ShinyRedSomething

Since those tweets, the studio has been asking for fans to vote on which Burnout games the studio should be using as a base for the game. It’s been quite some time since the last Burnout game (Burnout Paradise). As these games haven’t been announced yet and probably only have concept art to show for right now. It will probably have a release date of some time 2017-2018.
Criterion, hasn’t said anything about these tweets and they most likely won’t, but maybe it’s time for them to reveal more about their game that was shown during E3 2014. It was a no-show at events this year and most likely will be the same for the next few years. As that also was a very early reveal. Being only in development for 9 months as of the founder’s departure.
Update: Stryker is coming back as the DJ/Announcer for the game per their conversation on twitter.
@3FieldsEnt heck yes!! Trying to follow along as to what's going on today but I'm at a music festival broadcasting. Keep me in the loop.
