Hideo Kojima received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award at the 32nd Annual Golden Joystick Awards presented by Green Man Gaming, which were held at London’s O2 Arena on Friday.
For only the second time in history, the Joysticks honoured Kojima for his work to the industry for over 25 years. Kojima’s most recent release was March 2014’s Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It acts as a bridge between the older games in the series. It is set to release in 2015.
The last person to get this award was Ken Levine (Co-Founder of Irrational Games).
