Sony has stated in an FAQ that the “overwhelming majority” of the games available for the PS4 will be playable on the PS5.
That being said, Sony specifically stated that 10 titles will not be compatible with the PS5.
The backwards compatability informastion page also stated that some PS4 games will benefit from the Game Boost mode on the PS5. Which might make some titles run smoother or at a more stable frame rate on the next-gen system.
It’s also noted that some functions of the PS4 might not be available on the next gen console, and a few might throw out errors, when played on PS5. Sony has also warned that yo ushould try to boot the PS4 games on the new console before you buy addons to see if you’re happy with the experience.
The 10 titles that will not be available on PS5 have been listed below. Any titles that don’t work on the PS5 will be marked so on the PSN Store as “Playable on PlayStation 4 only.”
