Twitch had launched an investigation after allegations from multiple streamers that Hassan Bokhari former “Director of Strategic Partnerships” had been using his position to get closer to smaller streamers.
Earlier in the year multiple streamers had accused Hassan of abusing his power, and especially in the case of Vio, Hassan had used his position to manipulate her into performing sexual acts with him.
Hassan had invited Vio out to Pax East 2015, where advances had been made towards Vio despite her refusing to go along with it. According to Vio, this persistence, and pressure led to her engaging in sexual activities with Hassan.
Twitch has not made any public statements regarding his ban and has not mentioned anything about the employment status of Hassan. It’s very unlikely that we’ll get any reasoning from twitch regarding this situation.
Insider Slasher has reached out to Twitch via a spokesperson, and was give a statement that an investigation had been carried out following the allegations.
Following this investigation Hassan Bokhari is no longer an employee of Twitch.
Twitch permanently banned two other streamers (“Hashinshin”, and “ZeRo”) that had been involved in sexual misconduct earlier this year.
