Following the recent announcement that all Oculus user accounts will need to merge with a Facebook account.
Facebook has announced that Oculus is being rebranded and merged into their VR/AR divisions to Facebook Reality Labs, among some other announcements, such as Oculus Connect being renamed Facebook Connect, unsurprisingly, the VR community is very displeased with this decision by Facebook. As they feel Facebook is going to be getting rid of the Oculus brand entirely.
Facebook has reassured Oculus fans, that they will not be dropping the Oculus brand from their headsets like the highly rumored second revision for the Oculus Quest. If this is a good or bad thing is yet to be seen.
